SULPICO Anita Celestial. Mrs. Anita Celestial Sulpico late of Abbotsford, BC passed away on February 10, 2012 at the age of 87 at Abbotsford Regional Hospital. She is survived by her children, Noli (Nick) Buyco, Melende (Vicente) Paranpan, Noel (Teodora) Sulpico, Rodolfo (Agnes) Sulpico, Cristina (Romeo) Durana; grandchildren, Emily (Vaughn) Mangum, Stephanie (Christopher) Galloway, Jonathan, Rita, Sarah, Justin, Joshua, Joseph, Roel, Rex, Alysha, Matthew, Ian Nathelle; great grandchildren, Nicolas, Noah, Nathan, Olivia; and her only surviving sister, Carmen (Joaquin) Sianson. She was predeceased by her husband Maximo Barrido Sulpico in 2009. Being a mother of five, grandmother of fourteen, and great grandmother of four, Anita Celestial had to have limitless amounts of energy, and that she did. Anita was born in the Philippines and was a self taught bookkeeper with a knack for numbers and a seamstress. She arrived in Canada in 1983 and up until present, Anita's feisty personality combined with her love for laughter kept her young at heart throughout the many years she tended to all of her grandchildren in Canada and the U.S. During her spare time, she went to mass, listened to music, gardened, sewed, read fiction and the news, and kept a good sense of humour. During her last days, the constant presence of her extended family and friends was a testament to her virtue. This sweet, sweet lady will be missed by all that have met her, but we are all rest assured that she has come full circle to the beginning; in Heaven walking joyfully and tending to her garden of loved ones below, hand in hand with her Maximo. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at 7:00 pm, at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 33333 Mayfair Ave., Abbotsford, BC. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 10:00 am, at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, with Father George Edattukarran officiating.
