December 22, 1941 - March 28, 2024
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our dear husband, brother, father, grandpa and friend on March 28, 2024.
Alvin was born in December 22, 1941 to George and Sarah Siemens in Chilliwack, BC.
After he finished high school in 1960 at MEI, he attended MBBI (CBC) in Abbotsford. This is where he met Mary Ellen Martens. They were married January 20, 1963.
Mary Ellen passed away in 2014.
Alvin met Florence in the summer of 2017 and were married January 18, 2018.
Their highlights of time together involved camping, missions trips to Peru, and travelling to many places. Alvin was always up for adventure.
Alvin could always be found helping someone with their renovating projects or diving into a building project of his own home. Most of all, he loved the Lord and wanted anyone he met to know his Lord as well.
Alvin is survived by his wife Florence and her family. His children - Dawnette (Daryl), Curtis (Michelle), Heather (Brad), and four grandsons Timothy, Mackenzie, Morgan and Aaron.
He is preceded in death by his first wife Mary Ellen, a granddaughter Yvonne Marie Dyksterhuis and his parents George and Sarah Siemens.
There will be a viewing open to family and friends at Woodlawn Funeral Home at 2310 Clearbrook Rd. Tuesday, April 9th at 7 - 8 pm
A celebration of life will be held at South Abbotsford Church at 32424 Huntingdon Rd on Wednesday, April 10th at 1:00 pm
