Allan George HOFFMAN

February 2, 2007

Dec. 7, 1927 – Feb. 2, 2007

At 7:32 am Western Time Allan George Hoffman passed away into the presence of our Lord. His family was blessed to be at his side.

Born in Pembroke, Ontario, he is the eldest son of Allen Leonard and Alice Jane Hoffman. Dad served in our Royal Canadian Air force, his last job being a living unit officer at the Matsqui Penitentiary. He was husband to his first devoted wife Iris and later married his second wife Lois. Some of his greatest qualities of character were his loyalty, humility, love and compassion for humankind. He gave much in secret and his “hearty laugh” will never be forgotten. He often referred to himself as “the salmon swimming upstream”. Never have I known such love in a human as I did with Dad … never will this void be filled … I love you Dad … we’ll forever miss you!

He is survived by his siblings, sister Joybelle McCrae, his brothers Calvin Hoffman (Gail), Arlington Hoffman (Darlene), and Benjamin Hoffman (Ann), by his children, Leonard (Sandra), Lydia, Valerie (Lorne), George (Sonya), Hope (George); and his grandchildren, Shannon (Richard), Dustin, Beth, Devan, Marlin, Paul, Brandon, and Cheyanne. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and admirers also survive him.

YOU ARE LOVED!

A private viewing will be held at Hendersons Funeral Home on Friday, February 9th, 2007 from 12 noon – 1:00 pm. With a service to follow from 1:00 pm – 1:45 pm ending with a graveside service from 2:00 pm – 2:45 pm.
