After a short working stint in Thunder Bay, ON and Stephenville, NL he moved with his wife and young son to Abbotsford in 1983 where he joined the practice of Drs John and Ruth Lennox. He remained in Family Practice until 2007 when he resigned and pursued an interest in the care of patients in Residential Care in Abbotsford and, for a short while, patients attending the Cancer Centre. In latter years he also taught at the UBC School of Medicine.
His family would like to thank the First Responders, ER physician and nurses for the care that Alf received on the day of his passing.
A Celebration of Life will, hopefully, be held in the fall depending on the Covid 19 restrictions.
In lieu of flowers a donation could be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association - Vancouver-Fraser or to a charity of your choice.
