With such heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of our dear, precious mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. On Sunday, November 9, 2003 at 5:50 a.m. with the comfort of knowing her children and grandchildren were by her side, she passed away at the Chilliwack General Hospital, due to complications from pneumonia and enduring a 2 1/2 year struggle with pulmonary fibrosis.
Alberta was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia on April 17, 1928. She lived in Abbotsford, B.C. from 1975 until moving to Medicine Hat, Alberta in 1998. She recently moved to Chilliwack, B.C. to be close to her family as she battled this disease. We are so thankful for these past few months.
Predeceased by her husband Ken in 1991, sisters Hazel, Audrey and Betty and brother Wilbur.
Alberta is survived by her sisters Madge, Leora, Christina, Doreen and brother Ben, daughters Mary (Dick) Wareham, Sandi (Ron) Hall, Debbie (Nick) Waselnik, Sue (Bill) Woodruff, Darlene (Bob) Gold and Sherry (Lorne) Knechtel and by her sons Robert (Monica), Ken, Bryan (Michelle), Gord (Linda) and Steven.
She is also survived by her grandchildren Marcel, Michael, Jeremy, Kristina, Aaron, Tara, Kirsten, Jason, Tiffany, Sarah, Breanne, Eric, Ryan, Laura, Krista, Brandon, Whitney, Cody and Brayden, and great-grandchildren Devon, McKenzie, Kelsey, Brendon, Dayton, Marcus, Kelton and Jada.
Mom and Grandma ... we will hold the unforgettable memories in our hearts, love you forever and ever and miss you more than you could ever imagine!
