Abraham ENNS

ENNS, Abraham

April 5, 1927 – July 26, 2010

A most wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully July 26, 2010 at Surrey Memorial Hospital. Abraham “Abe” had most his family by his side.

Abe was born April 5, 1927 in Krasikov, Russia. Abe, his parents and two sisters moved to this great country in 1930. The family settled in the Fraser Valley where, with three more sisters and three brothers, a strong and wonderful extended family has flourished. Abe is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Irene, 5 children – Philip, Linda (Denis), Diane (Doug), Joanne, Brad (Nyree). Abe was so proud of his 8 grandchildren and the recent addition of a grandson-in-law and a great granddaughter. Abe is also survived by his sisters Ann (Henry), Gerti (Frank), Netti (Lloyd) and Erna (Frank) and by his brother Arnold (Jean). Honey, Dad, Grandpa and Great Grandpa—your values have been instilled in all of us! We all love you and will all miss you deeply! Thank you for your guidance!

His family would like to thank the staff of the Surrey Memorial Hospital for the treatment, care and support for Abe during his stay.

A service in memory of Abe will take place on Wednesday, August 11 at 2:00 p.m. at Cascade Community Church, 35190 Delair Road, Abbotsford. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the BC Cancer Foundation.
