Warrant issued for parolee on the lam

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of a man with strong connections to Abbotsford and other B.C. communities.

Aaron Craig Sutherland, 33, failed to report to his halfway house in Kelowna from Kent Institution on Jan. 19.

RCMP say he has strong connections with associates and family in Abbotsford, Quesnel and Prince George.

He has a history of assaults, property offences, fleeing police, drug offences, dangerous driving, failure to comply, and one sexual assault conviction.

Sutherland is described as Caucasian, five foot seven, 212 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair.

He has several tattoos, including a spider cross on the back of his neck and a vampire on his right hand.
