RCMP say man with gun called the police on himself

Mission RCMP say no one was injured after a man with a weapon called the police on himself Sunday.

Sgt. Chris Robinson said that multiple Lower Mainland RCMP detachments and the Emergency Response Team responded to the call just before noon.

“Mission RCMP received a complaint from a male that he was armed and wanted police to attend,” Sgt. Chris Robinson said. No weapons were found on site but the man was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and taken in for medical care.
