A woman in her early 40s died in a collision Wednesday between a semi-truck and a car on Highway 11 and Clayburn Road in Abbotsford.
Abbotsford Police, Abbotsford Fire Rescue Services and BC Ambulance Service were called to the crash just before 12:30 p.m.
Const. Jody Thomas said a grey Mazda car was travelling west on Clayburn Road, while the semi was heading north on Highway 11 at the time of the crash. The driver of the car was pronounced dead at the scene.
Thomas said the exact cause of the collision is still under investigation, and police are not releasing any further details at this time, including the name of the woman who died.
Highway 11 was closed for several hours between Harris Road and Bateman Road folllowing the crash.
