Fire crews responded to a lot full of vehicles

A tractor's engine caught fire in a lot at 2651 Mount Lehman Rd. at about 10:30 this morning, and it was quickly extinguished by firefighters.

The tractor was located under a tarp, between two large cargo trailers in a lot filled with vehicles, debris, and equipment.

"It was a very small fire," said Craig Bird, the city's assistant fire chief. "The fire was in the engine compartment of the tractor, and it did not spread to any other structure. There was a lot of smoke but crews suppressed it very quickly."

No injuries or damage was reported, outside of the damage to the tractor's engine compartment.
