A Port Coquitlam high school was placed on temporary lockdown Tuesday afternoon after a group of teens pepper sprayed two other teens during some kind of altercation in the parking lot.

Two teen boys were sprayed while inside a car at about 12:45 p.m., according to Coquitlam RCMP Cpl. Michael McLaughlin.

School administration announced a temporary “hold and secure” out of precaution, but lifted it shortly before 2 p.m.

McLaughlin said it’s wasn’t immediately clear how many youth were involved, but that they were looking for three suspects – all youth known to police.
