Police say two men are now facing charges after attempting to collect on a drug debt from the wrong Mission home.
Mission RCMP responded to a call of two armed males threatening to gain entry to a residence near the 12,000 block of Sylvester Road.
According to the Mission RCMP press release, as officers were responding to the report, the suspects departed by vehicle with the intent of attending a secondary location in Maple Ridge.
Police made quick work in locating the suspect vehicle resulting in both males being arrested without incident.
Officers located a shotgun in the vehicle which the victims reported was used in the offence.
During the investigation, police discovered that the current owners of the Sylvester Road address were not the intended target of the threats.
Mission RCMP say the incident, which took place on June 30, is only being made public now because charges have now been filed.
Abbotsford resident, Jamie McLean, age 43, is facing charges of possession of a firearm without a licence; and possession of a firearm while being prohibited.
Surrey resident, Donahugh McWhirter, age 46, is facing charges of possession of a firearm without a licence; possession of a firearm while being prohibited; and fail to comply with recognizance of bail.
Both males were released from court on several conditions with a next appearance date of Aug. 25.
