The annual Sikh parade was held Sunday in Abbotsford, featuring displays of song and dance, as well as food tents in Kalgidhar Park.

The streets near Blueridge area are currently blocked off as crowds gather to celebrate the parade.

The procession began at the Gur Sikh Temple (Gurdwara), which remains the oldest existing Sikh temple in North America. The parade is a celebration of unity within the culture and represents the Sikh religion and following. It is also a way to share the positive message of the religion, demonstrate the musical diversity of the culture, and offer a variety of free food samples to the public.
