UPDATE: No life-threatening injuries for 63-year-old man struck at Abbotsford crosswalk

A 63-year-old man who was hit Tuesday morning at an intersection downtown Abbotsford has non life-threatening injuries.

Abbotsford Police were called to the scene at 5:15 a.m. at Essendene and West Railway Avenue. The driver remained on the scene and is cooperating with the police, said Const. Paul Walker.

A team from the Integrated Services Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) was called out, and the intersection was closed off for much of the morning.

Walker noted that impaired driving is not a factor in the collision.
