Abbotsford murder victim Nektarios (Nektar) Pardalis was last seen about nine hours before his body was found by investigators, according to information released today by the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT).
IHIT spokesperson Cpl. Meghan Foster said Pardalis, 41, was last seen at his home – where he lived alone – in the 2300 block of Cameron Crescent at about 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30.
His body was discovered in the garage of the residence at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday after police received a call about a “suspicious circumstance” in the area.
IHIT released Pardalis’s name today, as well as his photo, as they seek more information about the case.
Foster said IHIT is continuing to work closely with the Abbotsford Police Department and the B.C. Coroners Service.
She said investigators remain in the area of the crime scene, as they continue to gather evidence.
“While Mr. Pardalis was known to police and his murder was targeted, investigators are working to identify the motive. There remain many unanswered questions, and anyone with information is asked to contact police,” Foster said.
Those with information are asked to call the IHIT information line at 1-877-551-IHIT (4448), email ihitinfo@rcmp-grc.gc.ca or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
