Motorcyclist in serious condition after collision in Abbotsford

The 2300 block of West Railway Street was the scene of a serious collision on Sunday night between a motorcycle and car.

A motorcycle rider remains in serious condition in hospital following a collision on Sunday night with a vehicle.

The crash took place at about 9 p.m. in the 2300 block of West Railway Street.

Abbotsford Police Const. Ian MacDonald said a northbound Honda Accord drive by a 22-year-old man crashed into the southbound Honda motorcycle driven by a 56-year-old man.

The motorcyclist suffered significant injuries and was transported to hospital.

MacDonald said the driver of the Accord and his passengers have co-operated fully with the investigation.

Abbotsford Police collision reconstructionists and patrol division officers are continuing to investigate.
