The Pacific Coast Soccer League men's squad from Magnuson Ford Mariners FC picked up a pair of wins on Vancouver Island last weekend.

The Mariners opened the trip with a 4-0 triumph over Nanaimo. Justin Sekhon opened the scoring on a penalty kick, his league-best 10th goal of the season, to stake the visitors to a 1-0 lead at the half, and Tyson Hunter, Daniel Davidson and another by Sekhon rounded out the scoring after the break.

On Sunday, the Mariners picked up a thrilling 2-1 win over Victoria United. The hosts went ahead 1-0 in the 73rd minute, but Davidson leveled the score in the 89th, finishing off a pass from James Najman. As the clock ticked down in injury time, Sekhon broke in and was taken down by the Victoria goalie, earning a penalty kick. He buried it on the last play of the game.
