Mill Lake is completely frozen, but that doesn't make it safe to walk across, Abbotsford officials say.
On Friday, groups of teenagers could be seen walking across the lake after class, but city staff say they are encouraging people to stay off the ice and other frozen surfaces for their own safety.
Signs warning the public not to test the ice remain up around the lake for a reason, a city spokesperson said.
