The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has announced that it has taken conduct of the investigation into the double shooting that occurred Thursday night on Hawthorne Avenue in Abbotsford.

IHIT said it will provide no further details until a press conference slated for 1:30 p.m. today (Monday) at the Abbotsford Police Department.

Two men, ages 21 and 22, were shot at the residence in the 33300 block of Hawthorne in what police have said is a targeted shooting. One of the men was taken to hospital in critical condition, while the other was in serious condition.
