Fraser Institute releases high school rankings

Six Abbotsford high schools were in the top 50 per cent of the rankings released Sunday by the Fraser Institute.

Six Abbotsford high schools were in the top 50 per cent of the rankings released Sunday by the Fraser Institute.

The organization's 2011 high school "report card" lists schools from first to 273rd  based on seven factors, including average provincial exam marks and the graduation rate.

A total of nine Abbotsford high schools are listed in the rankings. The six who landed in the top half of the province are: Mennonite Educational Institute (22nd), Abbotsford Christian (30th), Robert Bateman and W. J. Mouat (both 96th), St. John Brebeuf (112th) and Yale (119th).

The remaining schools were: Rick Hansen (143rd), Abbotsford Traditional (156th) and Abbotsford Collegiate (264th).
