Four young people arrested after hitting parked car with stolen vehicle

Four youths were arrested in Abbotsford on Thursday night after reportedly hitting a parked car while they were in a stolen vehicle and then fleeing the scene.

Abbotsford Police responded at about 6 p.m. to a call about the struck vehicle on Qualicum Street.

Patrol officers arrived to find the stolen car, which had been taken overnight in Abbotsford, abandoned in the 3700 block of that street.

Several witnesses indicated that the four occupants had fled the scene. Police contained the area and began searching, using a K9 unit and the Air One police helicopter.

The four culprits were located nearby in Downes Bowl and taken into custody.

Two of the young people face charges and were expected to appear in court today (Thursday).
