Abbotsford West MLA Mike de Jong receives a flu shot on Friday from pharmacist Kuljeet Thiara at the Shoppers' Drug Mart at Trethewey and South Fraser Way.

Several sites in Abbotsford are currently offering flu shots to the public.

The shots are free to vulnerable people, such as those 65 years and old, those with chronic health conditions, residents of long-term care facilities, health-care workers and pregnant women.

Those who are not on the list to receive a free shot are eligible to purchase it.

Flu shots are available through family doctors, walk-in clinics,  pharmacists and public health units.
