Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service crews are on the scene of a small fire at a pet food manufacturing plant.
Crews were called at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday after people reported seeing black smoke in the area.
The fire was tracked down to OmniPet Nutrition Inc. at 3120 McCallum Rd.
Heavy smoke, but no flames, could be seen from the outside of the building, and crews entered the the building and were on the roof around the chimney area.
Initial reports indicate a fire began in the hopper, but it was quickly extinguished.
