South Fraser Way has been re-opened after closing this morning when a elderly pedestrian was struck and injured.
The incident happened just before 10 a.m. just west of the Trethewey Street intersection and across from City Hall, at the intersection of Commercial Street and South Fraser Way.
In a tweet, police said the incident involved a pick-up truck and a scooter driven by a 91-year-old driver. The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries and eastboud traffic was closed for more than an hour.
The road was re-opened around 12:30 p.m.
A second pedestrian was struck and seriously injured just blocks away Abbotsford around noon. Simon Avenue remained closed as of 1 p.m.
