Police were called to Gladwin Road near Sevenoaks Shopping Centre Friday night by a good Samaritan who spotted a man staggering down the road and bleeding badly.
When police arrived they sat the man down and began talking with him. It was obvious that the man was extremely drunk, and in need of help. An ambulance was called, but when they stood the man up he bolted. Running in the middle of traffic, police pursued the man on foot and found him a few minutes later up a tree.
He was brought down and taken to hospital. Abbotsford Police have no idea why he suddenly ran off.
