Fire crews responded to two overnight fires in Vancouver late Saturday night.
West Vancouver Fire received reports of a fire at the Ambleside Youth Centre just before 11 p.m.

“Crews were met by heavy fire conditions on approach,” said Fire Chief Jeff Bush, who said the fire is being treated suspicious at this time.
The vacant building is located next to the SPCA, but Bush said the fire was contained and did not affect the animal shelter.
The building was badly damaged, but no one was hurt. The investigation into the cause of the fire will begin Monday.

Later that same night Vancouver Fire Rescue responded to a fire at Eat Your Cake on West Broadway near Granville.

The blaze was upgraded again to a third-alarm fire before it was finally put out just after 4 a.m.
