Fraser Health has declared the COVID-19 outbreak over at Tabor Home, a long-term care facility in Abbotsford operated by Tabor Home Society.

It was first reported on June 17 that a resident of the facility had tested positive for the virus and that the individual was in self-isolation.

At the time, Fraser Health said the case was related to an outbreak at Mission Memorial Hospital.

Fraser Health said it took a number of actions during the outbreak at Tabor home, including sending a rapid-response team to the site.

They also allowed only essential visitors, restricted staff and resident movement in the facility, enhanced cleaning and infection-control measures, and provided screening twice a day of staff and residents for COVID-19 symptoms.
