Construction is well underway on a major connection between two stretches of Marshall Road on Sumas Mountain.
When complete, the road will run on the hillside above Mountain Elementary and provide a key link between the Whatcom Road and the Sumas Way commercial areas. Marshall is also expected to take some traffic that currently uses Old Yale Road below, which the city is considering converting from four travel lanes to two, with a centre turn lane.
