The casino, located at 30835 Peardonville Road, announced in a press release that its doors reopen at 10 a.m. on Canada Day.

The release states that the facility has 20,000 square feet of gaming and it also indicates that the building’s food service establishments will also be reopened.

The facility has 234 slot machines, virtual blackjack, paper and electronic bingo and slot machine tournaments.

All casinos have been closed in the province of B.C. since March 16, 2020.

On June 14, 2021, Playtime Gaming at Chances Casino Abbotsford issued a lockout notice to its employees after the members would not agree to a collective agreement that was set to slash benefits and offer mostly minimum wages.

After two days on the picket line, members of United Steelworkers union (USW) Local 2009 ratified a renewed collective agreement.
