An official opening ceremony will take place this week for the George Schmidt Centre, a 30-unit apartment building with support services for men with mental health and/or addiction issues at risk of homelessness.
Abbotsford MLA and Minister of Finance Mike de Jong will be on hand for the event, along with Abbotsford Coun. Les Barkman and members of both the Schmidt Family and the Kinghaven Peardonville House Society.
The ceremony takes place on April 4 at 10:30 a.m. at 31250 King Road in Abbotsford.
The event will take place outdoors.
Parking will be available at the Level Ground Church next door to the development.
