Obstacles included the slip and slide, tire wall, spool roll, mud crawl, climbing wall, the tunnel and more. All teams were timed and prizes were handed out for the fastest finishers.
Students were tasked to collect pledges in an effort to raise a goal of $40,000. All students who raised $150 won a mystery prize pack, those collecting $300 were given a newly-designed Bears spirit hoodie and each grade that raised $5,500 were awarded with a class pizza lunch.
In addition to the race course, there was a dunk tank which featured the opportunity to soak school principal Gianni Bittante. A concession was also offered for participants and observers to get food and drinks.
According to event organizers, the outdoor student courtyard will enhance students’ experience now and for generations to come.
