Sevenoaks Shopping Centre hosts the Heroes Day Event on Friday (March 24).

Abbotsford’s Sevenoaks Shopping Centre is giving customers the chance to meet their local heroes on Friday (March 24).

The free Heroes Day Event will give attendees the opportunity to celebrate community spirit and interact with notable locals inside the mall at 10 unique activity stations.

Meet-and-greets will occur with Batman and Spider-Man characters, members from the Abbotsford Police Department, first responders, Abbotsford Fire Fighters Association, emotional therapy dogs and more. The BC Lions will have players on hand for a meet-and-greet and there will also be an Abbotsford Canucks station.

Each station will have its own activity and entertainment and there will also be photo opportunities.

Stations are located all throughout the mall, mainly focused in Purdys Court and Centre Court (near The Body Shop). All ages are welcome to attend. The event runs from noon to 4 p.m.

Sevenoaks will also be hosting a Princess Party on Thursday (March 23) from noon to 4 p.m.

The event will feature live musical performances from Ariel the Mermaid and Mirabel (Encanto). Show times are set for 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.

There will also be photo opportunities and meet-and-greets with both characters. The event is recommended for children of all ages. Tickets are free, but those interested are asked to RSVP at this link – eventbrite.ca/e/princess-party-tickets-591800750977.
