More retailers continue to step up and are offering seniors and those living with disabilities the opportunity to shop in a safer environment.

In addition to Lepp Farm Market, which The News reported about on March 16, Ray’s No Frills Abbotsford is also allowing those people an early chance to shop.

Every Monday and Wednesday moving forward will see customers who need assistance, including seniors and people living with disabilities, be allowed to shop before the store officially opens from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. This policy began today (March 18) and will run for the foreseeable future.

No Frills Abbotsford is located at 34261 Marshall Road.

Shoppers Drug Mart locations all across the country are also dedicating the first hour of shopping to those who need assistance, including seniors and people living with disabilities. Shoppers will also offer its 20 per cent senior’s discount, which ordinarily only occurs on Thursday, to all seniors shopping in that first hour.

The Seniors Days pricing will also continue to occur every Thursday.

There are three Shoppers Drug Mart locations in Abbotsford: inside Sevenoaks Shopping Centre at 32900 South Fraser Way, another at 32390 South Fraser Way and also in west Abbotsford at 2871 Livingstone Avenue.

Save-On-Foods also announced that starting on March 19 all its locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 a.m. for seniors. The stores will now be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. for all other customers moving forward.

Abbotsford Save-On-Foods locations can be found at: 32700 South Fraser Way, 2140 Sumas Way and 2388 Whatcom Road.

Abbotsford’s Real Canadian Superstore has also announced they will offer shopping for seniors and those living with disabilities from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. every Tuesday and Friday moving forward.

The store is located at 2855 Gladwin Road.
