Abbotsford Police arrest 38-year-old man in robbery of 62-year-old woman

Abbotsford Police Department major crime detectives have arrested a 38-year-old man with robbery charges related to an alleged incident involving a 62-year-old woman on Ross Road on April 1.

Investigators have confirmed the incident as targeted, with the intended recipient being another person associated with that home.

Further investigators have recovered an imitation firearm that police believe was used during the robbery. The APD Major Crime Unit continues to investigate and is asking anyone with information to contact them.

The alleged incident was reported just after 8 p.m on April 1 in the 300 block of Ross Road in south Abbotsford.

The APD stated that the victim reported that five masked men produced a gun and demanded money from her before leaving in her vehicle. Shortly after the incident, the alleged victim’s car and the vehicle used to arrive at the property were located and seized by police.

The woman and other occupants at the property were not injured as a result of the incident.
