A collision in Langley in the area of Highway 10 and 232 Street killed an Abbotsford man.

A 54-year-old Abbotsford man died in a head-on collision this morning (Tuesday) in Langley.

The man was driving a Chevy Sprint westbound in the area of 232 Street and Highway 10 at about 4:30 a.m., when he collided with an eastbound refrigeration truck.

The small car was pushed into the ditch, with major damage to the driver's side. The lone occupant of the Sprint died on the scene. His name has not been released.

Corp. Holly Marks of the Langley RCMP said the investigation is in its initial stages, but it is believed that the Chevy Sprint might have crossed the centre line.

Highway 10 is expected to remain closed until noon today from 232 Street to Glover Road and Springbrook Road.

Anyone with information about the collision is asked to call Langley RCMP at 604-532-3200.
