A liquor store in the 31900 block of South Fraser Way in Abbotsford was robbed just before 11:30 a.m. today (Tuesday).

Details are still sketchy, but Const. Ian MacDonald said a man entered the store, demanded cash, and stated he had a weapon, although he didn't show one.

The suspect then fled with cash. He is described as six feet tall, balding, with a hairy neck and wearing black clothing.

That area of South Fraser Way – which intersects with Clearbrook Road – was the scene of three other robberies last month. One took place Sept. 21 at the Subway restaurant, and simultaneous robberies occurred Sept. 24 at the Coast Capital Savings and RBC.

Two suspects, ages 25 and 30, were later arrested for the bank robberies and face charges related to more than 20 such incidents in eight communities.

Anyone with information is is asked to call the Abbotsford Police Department at 604-859-5225.
