A chicken barn on Matsqui Prairie in Abbotsford was destroyed by fire early Thursday morning.
The blaze began just after 4 a.m. in the area of Fore Road and Bell Road.
When crews from Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service arrived, the 250-foot-long L-shaped structure was fully engulfed in flames.
The barn was empty at the time, and no one was hurt.
Crews were able to contain the fire to the barn.
The cause of the blaze is not yet known.
