Uber is expanding its coverage to include Mission, Kent and north of Chilliwack.
Drivers were notified of the change on Monday (Sept. 25) and rides can now be hailed in the new areas.
Uber previously expanded rideshare in B.C. to Victoria, Kelowna, and Chilliwack in June.
Meanwhile, Mission’s council approved bylaws back in May to allow ride-hailing companies like Uber and Lyft to operate in the city as early as June 1.
By approving the bylaws, Mission joined 25 others already participating in an Inter-Municipal Business Licence (IMBL) agreement for ride-hailing companies in the Lower Mainland.
