Heroes Day took over Abbotsford’s Sevenoaks Shopping Centre on Friday (March 22).
The event featured a number of special community heroes including: members of the Abbotsford Police Department, the St. John Ambulance, Emergency Support Service, Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service, local veterans from the Abbotsford Legion and Pacific Assistant Dog Society pups.
Sports heroes consisted : linebacker Ben Hladik and defensive back Marcus Sayles of the B.C. Lions, Abbotsford Canucks representatives, Spike the Whitecaps mascot and Fin the Vancouver Canucks mascot.

There were also superheroes including: Batman, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man and Captain Marvel.
A free face-painting station was also set up in front of the food court. The event ran from noon to 4 p.m.

The fun continues next week at the mall with free Easter Bunny Photos from March 28 to 30.
The photos run on March 28 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and the March 29 and 30 from noon to 4 p.m. There are also opportunities for a low stimulation photo experience with with the Easter Bunny from 11:30 a.m. to noon on March 30.
