A 43-year-old female pedestrian suffered life-threatening injuries after being struck by a pickup truck in Abbotsford on Friday morning (Dec. 1).
Const. Art Stele, media officer with the Abbotsford Police Department, said the collision took place around 7:30 a.m. in the area of Townline Road and Wheel Avenue.
Stele said the driver remained on scene and is cooperating with investigators. He said impairment is not believed to be a factor in the collision.
The pedestrian was taken in critical condition by ground ambulance to hospital. An air ambulance was requested but was unable to fly due to the weather.
