Original Joe’s in Abbotsford permanently closed its doors on Monday (May 6).
The restaurant, located at #101 2649 Trethewey St., had operated in Abbotsford for 14 years. It was not made clear why the location closed.
Customers subscribed to the Original Joe’s email chain received a notice of the closure. A sign on the front door of the restaurant after May 6 read “Original Joe’s Abbotsford is now closed. Please visit us at Eagle Landing Parkway in Chilliwack.”
The two closest locations for Abbotsford residents are now Chilliwack and Cloverdale.
This is another business that has closed in the South Fraser Gate shopping centre. Alongside Original Joe’s, there are currently three other empty building spaces.
Original Joe’s is a restaurant and bar franchise that has been in operation since 1998.
