A 19-year-old man is in stable condition after being stabbed early Friday morning (Dec. 22) in Abbotsford.

Const. Art Stele, media officer with the Abbotsford Police Department (APD), said patrol officers responded at 2:35 a.m. to a reported disturbance in a parking lot in the 3100 block of Clearbrook Road.

When they arrived, they discovered that a man had been stabbed. Stele said his injuries were “serious and life-threatening.”

“Responders immediately rendered medical aid, and the victim was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition,” he said.

Stele said an arrest has been made, and there is no risk to the public at this time. No charges have yet been laid.

No further details are available at this time. Anyone with information is asked to contact the APD’s major crime unit at 604-859-5225.
