Air Ambulance called following motorcycle crash on Lougheed near Agassiz

Extent of injuries unknown; traffic backed up as a result

An Air Ambulance was dispatched to the Agassiz area following a motorcycle crash on the Lougheed Highway on Saturday afternoon.

Emergency crews were called to the scene on Mt. Woodside around 3 p.m. on April 13. The collision happened in the eastbound lanes around the 3500-block of the highway.

Crews with the Agassiz Fire Department reported there was a “single motorcycle down” when they arrived.

A landing zone was being set up nearby.

By 4:25 p.m., the helicopter had left the scene and was taking the patient to Vancouver.

Traffic was backed up as a result.
