First-ever Indian born drafted player makes a stop at Abbotsford Regional Hospital on Friday

Abbotsford Regional Hospital had a big special guest on Friday.

Indian basketball star Satnam Singh stopped by to greet newborn babies and take in the Fraser Valley.

Singh, who was drafted by the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks in 2015, was the first-ever player from India to be selected by an NBA club.

The seven-foot-two-inch centre has played two seasons with the Mavericks minor league team – the NBA D-League’s Texas Legends.
