The colourful chartacters of Toy Story 3 took to the ice Friday night for their first Disney On Ice performance in Abbotsford.
The Pixar movie, a box-office hit, was a near sell-out at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre at 33800 King Rd.
“It looked like everyone was having a good time. There are so many families here, and we get a lot of families that come in from Chilliwack and Surrey, people that don’t want to travel all the way downtown,” said Jason Blumenfeld, general manager with AESC.
The sound of laughter rang out from the children who attended the spectacle event, during comical scenes between Woody and the gang.
The show was action-filled, with the cartoon-inspired cast plotting their escape from the rambunctious tots of Sunnyside Daycare, to race back home.
New appearances included a handsome Ken and a Lots-o-Huggin Bear.
Other performances are: Saturday, Nov. 19 at 12, 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.; and this Sunday. Nov. 20 from 1 – 4:30 p.m.
Tickets range from $17 to 70, and can be purchased online at www.abbotsfordcentre.ca or by calling 1-866-977-AESC.
