Singer-songwriter Brian Doerksen is featured in concert with special guest Marika Siewert on Saturday, April 6.

The Come Now is the Time to Worship Tour takes place at 7 p.m. at Central Heights Church, 1661 McCallum Rd.

Brian is a Juno award-winning songwriter, recording artist, author, conference speaker and pastor, but most of all he loves spending time with his high school sweetheart, Joyce, to whom he has been married for 38 years.

Brian and Joyce have four daughters and two sons with Fragile X Syndrome.

His songs are known and sung internationally and include Come Now is the Time to Worship, Refiner’s Fire, Hope of the Nations and The River.

Doerksen’s more recent albums include his first Christmas album, The Heart of Christmas, released in 2019, and the five=song EP Everlasting Arms, released in 2020 as his response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

His most recent project is Hymns for Life, an instrumental album.

Siewert is an award-winning director, actor and recording artist. She has garnered top 10 singles on radio charts on Pop, Hot AC, AC and Christian contemporary music stations.

She has also had numerous songs featured on film and TV shows on networks such as MTV, TSN, NBC, Hallmark, Lifetime and Fox/UPN.
