The Reach Gallery Museum Abbotsford opens its new Emerge exhibition during a free public reception on Thursday, March 23 at 6 p.m.

Art on Demand 3.2 – Fragmented Self features the work of artists Andrew Booth, Paige Caldwell and Amanda Vergara.

The exhibit is curated by Emerge University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) intern Christina Billingham.

Fragmented Self explores the idea of internal conflict and the disassociation it may lead to. The artists use bold imagery to demonstrate the raw emotion of alienation and fragmentation.

These exhibitions showcase the work of up-and-coming artists who are members of The Reach’s Emerge program. This arts program, funded by the RBC Foundation, supports professional development for regional artists between the ages of 18 and 35.

Fragmented Self shows until May 7 at The Reach, 32388 Veterans Way. Visit thereach.ca for more information.
