The Fraser Valley Poets Society is celebrating International Literacy Day with a book launch of their latest anthology.
Thirty-three years ago the society was founded by Donna Bishop, and to celebrate her 90th birthday, the society has published Encouragement, a book of poetry and prose by Bishop with poems and tributes by many local writers.
This event takes place on Sept. 8, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the meeting room at the Clearbrook Library, 32320 George Ferguson Way, Abbotsford.
