A collection of photography by the members of the Abbotsford Photo Arts Club (APAC), the “Wandering Eye” exemplifies the skills and techniques of local photographers.

Members of APAC gather from different walks of life and their diverse perspectives of the world shape much of their work.

From the carefully directed use of light and shadow to shape their images to the spontaneous "lucky shots," the photographers delight in capturing moments in time.  Many handle their lens with tender ardor because it gives them a voice; it gives them insight, and it gives them creative energy.

The exhibit, running July 25 to Aug. 19 at Kariton Art Gallery, provides a glimpse of diverse works by photographers with a wandering eye. Whether their photography focuses on portraiture, landscape, abstracts, or action, they all share a passion in the pursuit of compelling images. They experience creative satisfaction from a dedication to their art.

The gallery is located at 2387 Ware St. Hours of operation are Tuesday to Friday, noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday, 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. For more information visit abbotsfordartscouncil.com or apac.bc.ca.
