B.C. country band Me & Mae have released a new single, co-written by Mission’s Carly Rae Jepsen.
Shawn Meehan and Jacky Mae are a country project influenced by everything from Johnny Cash to Dolly Parton.
Before Jepsen hit it big with “Call Me Maybe”, Meehan, who had been giving Jepsen guitar lessons, asked Jepsen to lend a hand in writing the song “Love me Leave Me Lonely,” and she agreed.
Me & Mae are heading out on a small British Columbia tour this summer, and will perform in Abbotsford at Agrifair on Saturday, Aug. 3.
